However, I believe that we all have the same opportunities for growth, success, and happiness regardless of our origin or upbringing. The opportunities before us are unlimited for those who are willing to put in the work.

I believe that each one of us has the power to overcome the limitations we have adopted since birth. I believe there’s power in thinking big, setting lofty goals and our sights higher; in not settling for less.

I also believe that most people sell themselves short. They settle for average, status quo, or for what others tell them they can and cannot do.

I also believe that the pursuit of a better life is easier said than done.

I believe that a good education is an essential requirement to living your ‘best’ life; however, a degree (even though it may be very helpful) is not required unless you have chosen a specific vocation such as a doctor, nurse, lawyer, or teacher.

What is required is your desire to learn, comprehend, and purposely grow; not to just go through the motions to attain that degree. We “learn” and retain what is most interesting to us, so seeking and finding your “purpose” – your ‘Why’ am I here is more important than what most formal education curriculums offer. I have found that what we learn outside of the educational system is the most valuable education we can get. “Know Thyself” and “Always be Learning” is a lifelong journey. Those that embrace these mantras lead the most fulfilling lives – no degree required – the access is internal!

I also believe, as one last comment on college degrees, if you are one of the many that does not have a degree, stop beating yourself up immediately! Why? Because at least 10 of the wealthiest Americans – all billionaires – are college ‘dropouts’: Bill gates (Microsoft), Larry Ellison (Oracle), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Michael Dell (Dell Computers), Paul Allen (Microsoft; passed away in 2018), Sheldon Adelson (casinos), Jack Taylor (Enterprise Rent-a-Car), just to name a few.

I believe life is meant to be enjoyed to its fullest extent. I believe we are here to create, build, learn, and connect. I believe that success and happiness mean different things for every person, but that both are within reach for everyone.

I believe every human being was born to be great…no one wants to be average or mediocre.

Why do I believe these things? I have lived and experienced them. I have spent decades seeking and finding the underlying Universal Truths that enable all of us to design and live the most authentic version of ourselves.

So What Does Good Coaching Look Like?

Many people wrongly assume that coaching people is about having all the answers and being the most equipped person in the room. Oddly enough, the very opposite is true.

Many people progress through life, pursuing success. It’s useful to note that success isn’t gauged by wealth or control or social status, it’s measured by discipline, decisiveness, maturity and inner peace.
