“The mind is everything. What you think you become” ~ Buddha

“A man is but a product of his thoughts. What he thinks he becomes.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

“Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” ~ Henry Ford

and from the words of the Master himself, “according to your faith be it unto you.” Or as ye believe, so shall it be unto you. When you truly grasp this concept you will become the master of your fate, the captain of your soul.

Your beliefs form the foundation of your life. Your beliefs dictate how your life’s circumstances, conditions, and experiences unfold. This is the “secret” of the ages shared and extolled by the great men of history.

Therefore, if you truly desire the best that life offers and want to change your current circumstances, you must take the time to examine your current beliefs for their validity, for they are at this moment, your “truths” but may not be the ‘true’ truths but misconceptions and misinterpretations you have applied at the time of accepting them. Scrutinize and challenge them. They must be resolved before you can move forward!

All of our thoughts and actions towards Life – money, work, relationships, health, peace of mind, joy – everything is influenced by our past; our parents, our siblings, our upbringing, our environment, our teachers and clergy, our peers, community, the media, and on and on.

From these influences, we have created our belief system. We have designed and lived our lives by every decision we’ve made from our own personal interpretation of those influences and resulting experiences.

Our beliefs ring true to us, to our hearts, our bodies, and our minds. This becomes and forms our comfort zone. It’s our interpretation of ourselves – our personal identity.

However, life is a continuum of moving forward – inherent in our being is the need for growth, hopefully in an upward direction. As we move forward we check in on our beliefs with the urge to stay in our comfort zone.

Here’s where an open mind and growth challenge enters the stage. We should then ask the question “What are my limiting beliefs?” What is holding me back? What will happen if I step out of my comfort zone?

Each of us has a responsibility and accountability to ourselves as to how we should reach our full potential and how we approach designing the rest of our lives!

Aristotle taught that… Each individual human being is responsible for seeking a personal reason for living.
